~Texas part 4~{the ones that got away}

There was one negative to our trip to Texas.
We couldn't fit everything in our luggage!

There was so much, and I mean, so much, it was a tad overwhelming.

For the last post on Texas week, I wanted to show you some photos of things that would have come home with me, would they have fit in my carry on……

~Texas part 3~{Marburger Farms}

If you are going to go to Round Top for antiques week,
Marburger Farms is a must.
It's the show that the stars frequent. We were told Matthew McConaughey was there as well as Sandra Bullock, and we missed Joanna Gaines by 1 day.

My one purchase there was a new bag from Selina Vaughan Studios.
They have an etsy shop you can see here.

Love, love, love their bags.

Here is some more goodness I saw while browsing…..

Note to self:
MAKE MORE FRAMES.

Another note to self:
DECORATE A DEER HEAD IN LACE.

Everything was so beautifully displayed.
I could have stayed there all day, but we had 14, 992 more places to go shop.

More to come.

~Texas part 2~{Rachel Ashwell's Prairie}

Of course we had to go see The Prairie.

This would be another great place to stay during antiques
week, but it books up far in advance as well.

This is the main house you see when you first drive in the long drive.

I could've plopped down in that velvet sofa and never left.

 Love, love, love the tin ceiling and the chippy wood walls.

I hope you enjoyed my tour of The Prairie!

~Texas part 1~{the vintage round top}

Back in February I got my issue of Country Living in the mail, and was floored by a article on
I never thought in a million years that 8 months later I would not only be seeing this beautiful place in person, but sitting in it having lunch with it's owners!

My friend Becki from Curious Details made it all possible and my blog friend and idol Holly, also joined us.
My partner in crime Tanya is on the left.

You know when you see something in a magazine and it's drop dead gorgeous?
Well, this was even better in person.
My photos do not do it justice.

Paige and Smoot are the cutest couple and so sweet.
The kind of people you feel right at home with.
If you are planning on going to the Round Top flea markets in the future, I would highly recommend staying at the Vintage Round Top.
It is books up fast so plan ahead!

I'll be back tomorrow with more of Texas!

~round top texas lodging~

I mentioned briefly that I will be attending the Round Top Flea markets
in Texas in October.

However, I have never been and I have no idea where to stay!
Is there any of my readers from Round Top or around that area that might be able to tell me of a good place to stay?
It can be a hotel, motel, bed and breakfast, a guest house in someones home, a yard to pitch a tent…..

I'm really not picky!
Please leave a comment here or email me at:
lakeliving4@yahoo.com

I really would appreciate it!
The dates are October 2-5 if that matters.
