~paper flowers~{and garland}

Way back in 2011, I made a paper garland out of book pages.
You can see the whole post here.

But that was mostly leaves, so I tried my hand yesterday at making flowers….

I haven't quite mastered it yet, but it's a start.
If I do get better at it, and quicker,
 I have a project in the works that I will be sharing with you all!

~4th of July decorating and DIY ideas~ {our home}

The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays.
Perhaps it's because my neighborhood turns into one big party and who doesn't love sunny weather, the lake, fireworks, bbq's, and friends?

Let's take a walk down memory lane shall we?

Back in 2010 our home was featured on The Old Painted Cottage, Cottage of the month for July.
Take a look here.

You can take a look at some patriotic decorating that happened in our home, right here.

And one of my favorite red white and blue decorating ideas can be found right here.

And lastly, in case you missed it, learn how to make a easy no sew inexpensive banner here, as well as see a few other great patriotic projects!

Here's to a great week!

~knockoff Anthropologie wreath~{DIY}

I have wanted to make one of these wreaths for a long time.
Then my blogging buddy Tara made one and made it look so simple that I had
to try it. It cost about $33 to make and the only thing
I did different, was I used hot glue and she
used straight pins.

You can get the full instructions and supply list here!
