~back from vacation & fathers day with Minted~

What a relaxing week off!

Our time in Maui went way to fast, but it is always nice to be back home.

As I was going through photos yesterday I realized that Fathers Day is creeping up, and since I had all these great photos, I made something special for the kids to give their dad.

I chose the Family & Friends from Minted in a 16x20 with a barn wood frame 

and I just love how it looks!

This will be something special for him that will remind him of our time on the island.

~a personal mothers day gift ideas~

A few of my favorite things in our house are these family photos that I had printed and framed from Minted.

This year I learned of a section on Minted's website exclusively for Mother's Day.

So, instead of waiting till the last minute, I am going to get my order in early and let them create my personalized gift!

Again, I love the barn wood frames they have, so I will be selecting those for my art.

I like that they come in all shapes and sizes too.

I am trying to decide between

~make a custom picture frame~

If you follow the steps found here you can make this adorable picture frame.

The best part about these frames is that you can use any paper to match your decor, you can even use fabric, or like in the link above, wallpaper.

To add the text simply run your scrapbook paper through your printer!

Make sure it is trimmed to a 8 1/2 x 11 and print a sample piece first.

If it prints wrong, you can adjust the text without ruining your final paper.

I cut apart our last years Christmas card from Minted to fit in the opening.

And here is this years card, again done by Minted.

~more hallway photos~{around the corner}

Thank you for all your sweet words on our hallway makeover yesterday.

I thought today I'd show you some small changes I made around the corner from it....

I hung up some random art, mostly canvas I had made from here.

~wrapping paper ideas~

Minted, the company we get our Christmas cards from every year,
