This project started with something meant for cooking~tart pans.
These cute little tins come in all shapes and sizes.
Here are the supplies needed:
a hammer, a piece of wood, a alphabet metal stamping kit,
tart pans, a fine point black sharpie, a nail, twine,
and rub n buff in your choice of color. {not pictured}
Basically all you do is flatten each tart pan with the hammer on your chunk of wood to
protect your work surface. Using the nail, "punch" a hole in the top for the twine.
Next, hammer in your letters spelling out whatever words you would like.
I think names on these would be cute. You could use them as gift toppers.
Once you have done all that, tie some twine or jute or ribbon to the top to hang.
Then using your sharpie, fill in the letters so they stand out.
I also finished mine off with a combo of black and gold rub n buff to age them a bit.
Here they are all done!
Easy as pie!

~medallion rugs~{rug shopping}
I am just getting started on a project. It's a whole room makeover, and
this is the rug I selected for it.
I have a hard time selecting this such as rugs, mainly because I like them all.
It's hard to narrow it down to just one. But I loved the colors in this one from Medallion Rugs.
I also selected this one because they offer 30 day no obligation in home trials. Because sometimes, things on the web aren't the same when you get them in your house.
But this one is gorgeous and it is so soft! And HUGE! I cannot wait to show you what I do with it!
Here's a few others I was looking at before making my final decision. So many area rugs, so little time!
I know, they are all so varied, but I loved them all!
I also loved the colors and pattern of this rug, but it was not in my price range!
I'm actually kinda kicking myself for not getting this one:
I love that they all the area rugs look really old, even if they aren't. Anyway, just another fun website to browse and shop for rugs!

~easy crustless quiche~
Cody has been home from school for a week sick. He
was diagnosed with walking pneumonia. The poor little guy doesn't
have much of an appetite, {guess who's been getting into his Halloween candy?}
so I have been trying to make simple but healthy dinners.
I love quiche.
I love it that you can make it for breakfast, and eat it for lunch, and for dinner!
It's leftovers are great and it's super easy to make.
We had this for dinner last night served with a "milkshake"
The "milkshake" was strawberry greek yogurt, orange juice, vanilla protein powder,
nonfat milk, and spinach. The kids loved it. So here you go, a quick and healthy dinner.
{I suppose it doesn't count though if you eat this along with the Halloween candy huh?
Darn.}

A little bit about Mary:
I'm a wife, mother of two boys, runner, traveler, dog lover, and avid thank you note writer. When my children started having birthday parties, they were always excited to see what I had designed for their thank you notes. It was so easy to get them to say thanks with their own personalized cards. I received rave reviews for not only the fact that the boys had written a thank you note, but for the cute designs. After several years of gift giving, I was encouraged by friends, family and countless "ohhs" and "ahhs" to start a business... and Paper Moon Shop was born.
Once a year Mary hosts a Holiday Pop-Up Boutique in her home. If you live near Portland Oregon and would like to go, it is on Thursday November 7th from 9-2, and 5-8.
Address is: 2111 NW Jessamine Way
Portland, OR. 97229.
Not only will she be selling her creations, but the hand made creations of 5 local vendors. This year she has Remi Rings who takes antique buttons and makes them into rings, Enchanted Cupcakes who creates one of kind cupcakes and holiday treats, Lion & Rose Soap that create perfect stocking stuffers, Custom Clip Boards by Emily (her kids' 3rd grade teacher) wraps clip boards in colorful layers of scrapbook paper and personalizes with a name, and 2 Monkees creates handcrafted jewelry! Then, her company Paper Moon Shop makes a variety of stationery products like personalized note cards, note pads, wine labels, baking labels and gift wrapping ideas.
